Our audiences are unique in the range of disabilities and their needs, from life-limiting illnesses to profound multiple learning difficulties. The only unifying factor is that they are unable to attend the theatre at this magical time of year, so we bring the theatre to them, to their families and their carers.
We fundraise throughout the year to maintain our company ethos: We do not charge the hospices or families anything to receive our show.
Sue Appleby founded Christmas for Kids along with Claire Sundin in 2009 as a collective of actors. In 2015, Christmas for Kids became recognised as a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) by the Charities Commission.
C4K also perform throughout the year in children's wards of hospitals, both under the umbrella of charity Rays of Sunshine and independently, bringing our unique blend of interactive, multi-sensory shows to an even wider range of children.
