Our 2020 Tour is 'Benson's Christmas Letter'

Our 2020 Touring Plans -

In response to Covid-19

In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, we are unable to deliver the large tour we had initially set out for C4K in 2020. Every year C4K tries to expand its outreach, and this year we were hoping to visit hospices/hospitals and SEN schools in Northern Ireland for the first time. Due to the amount of forward planning required, the vulnerable nature of our audiences, and the uncertain climate, we have decided to delay this expansion until 2021.

For 2020, we are planning a brand new, very exciting venture: a Digital model to deliver of our interactive, multi-sensory brand of theatre. Our 2020 creative team will include video production experts and an animation company, working to create a wonderful digital world for our actors and puppets to inhabit. Our interactive elements will be delivered via an E-resource pack accompanying the show.

More news will follow soon - watch this space!

About the Show

'Benson's Christmas Letter' - Our 2020 show tells of our loveable puppet Benson, journeying to the North Pole to deliver his Christmas Letter to Santa. Benson meets both puppet and human friends en route and with each meeting, we present familiar songs and stories in a fresh, interactive way.

In 2019, our nine actors toured to 53 children's hospices and related venues (listed) throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Follow our cast's journeys via their Blog.

We are rapidly approaching our target of touring to every children's hospice in the UK every year.

In 2014, we visited 8 hospices. We went even bigger in 2015, with 13 hospices receiving our show. And for our 2016 tour, we brought in new actors to tour two teams to 28 hospices throughout England. In 2017, we toured three teams of actors to 47 children’s hospice venues including Wales in our outreach. In 2018, we toured our show 'Harry's Christmas Adventure', with three teams of actors, to 54 children’s hospices and related venues. This saw us playing to all the children's hospices in England, Wales and, for the first time, Scotland. In 2021, we aim to expand our outreach to Northern Ireland - touring to a whopping total of 60 venues across the whole of the UK.
